About Us

Fortis Microfinance Bank Limited; licensed to operate as Microfinance Bank in October 2007 by the CBN, has the goal of meeting the high demand for microfinance banking services by providing flexible banking solutions to support the development of entrepreneurship and empowerment of the economically disadvantaged, micro, small and medium scale enterprises (MSME).

We operate out of 11 branches with a carefully selected and growing workforce of 350 ambitious, energetic and aggressive young men and women. We are quite determined to build a world class financial institution that will make a positive difference in the industry.
The 11 business offices are strategically located at major markets in the FCT, including Wuse, Garki, Emab Plaza, Utako, Mararaba, Dei Dei and Kabusa. The latter serves as an outpost to further our rural banking initiative.
Some of our unique products include Fortis Cooperative Movement Account, Fortis High Yield Term Deposit Account, Fortis Food Programme, Fortis Easy Lease and Fortis Siddon Look Savings Account, amongst others. Fortis MFB has a robust loan/credit programme covering shop owners, contractors, schools, traders, farmers, salary earners, petty traders and a host of others.

As part of our contribution towards poverty reduction, wealth creation and promotion of entrepreneurship, we are engaged in strategic partnership with relevant public agencies including the National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP), Development Finance Department of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and the Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) and the National Directorate of Employment (NDE). Through these relationships we disburse credits, build capacity, promote entrepreneurship amongst youths, individuals and civil servants. We also provide Investment portfolio advisory services for those working and those intending to retire, on viable business opportunities and portfolio to guarantee wealth creation in line with Mr. President’s 7-point agenda.
