Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow in Executive Bank Management
TIKO OKOYE attended the University of Ibadan in 1974 and obtained with honours the Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics in 1977. At the University of Ibadan, Tiko was both a University Scholar and a Federal Government Scholar on account of his academic brilliance.
He proceeded to the University of Lagos in 1979 on a Federal Government of Nigeria scholarship. He graduated in December 1980 with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
Tiko attended Executive Development Programmes at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York and the Institute of Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland. Prior to that, he had undergone the robust 12-month Credit Management Development Programme run by Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City. In addition to his more than 20-year experience in the Nigerian banking and finance industry, he is also a distinguished Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow in Executive Bank Management.
Tiko is a fully certified microfinance practitioner, having posted four Distinctions and two Passes in the qualifying examinations jointly conducted by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and receiving the prize for Best Graduating Candidate in Microfinance in the 2013/2014 diet examinations.
He was the Managing Director/CEO of Covenant Microfinance Bank, Ota, Ogun State - a Category 2 State MFB owned by the Living Faith Church/Winners Chapel from February 2012 to June 2014. Within the first 12 months, Tiko increased the balance sheet size from under N3billion to over N6billion (200 percent increase), significantly reduced the Portfolio-at-Risk (PAR) - a key measure of loan portfolio quality - from 55 percent to 16 percent and led the bank to becoming the first microfinance bank in Nigerian history to be granted access to the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) - a hitherto exclusive preserve of commercial banks.
His most treasured achievement is superintending the disbursement of about N500million to over 5,000 beneficiaries of the Empowerment Programme he conceptualized, tested and implemented within a 12-month period. It was a highly successful project with a less than two percent default rate. His last assignment with the Living Faith Church Group was serving as the National Membership Empowerment Director of the Abuja-based affiliate - Ark Humanitarian Foundation.
Only recently, Tiko resigned from the position of Chief Operating Officer of Dominion Seed Investments Limited, a special purpose holding company that is designed, through strategic positioning in the core pillars of the nation’s economy, to promote wealth creation through a specialized poverty elimination module.
On February 1, 2016, Tiko joined Fortis Microfinance Bank Plc. Abuja as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

Jero Omare-Ogah, a gifted leader of people and manager of resources, is an alumnus of Nigeria’s Ambrose Alli University, the Harvard Kennedy School, MIT Sloan School of Management, Columbia Business School, Jack Welch Management Institute, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, the Helix Institute of Digital Finance, Kenya and The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University,USA where he obtained a certification in Digital Money.
He is a financial sector expert with deep expertise in Digital Finance, as well as Impact and Inclusive Banking. He is a thought leader and has contributed to several articles in both the local and international media.
He is a seasoned executive with over 15 years’ experience spanning such areas as Banking Operations, Strategy, Business Development, Financial Inclusion, Digital Payment Solutions, Business Process re-engineering, Organizational Alignment, Project Management as well as Strategic Planning & Execution.
Jero is currently the Managing director/CEO of Fortis Mobile Money Ltd where he is responsible for driving sustainable growth, innovation and corporate strategy. He was the COO of Fortis Microfinance Bank Plc. where he was responsible for crafting competitive strategies and implementing same. Fortis MFB Plc is one of the two microfinance Banks listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange and the only Microfinance Bank to be issued with a Mobile Payment license by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Jero has led many ground-breaking initiatives that have not only deepened financial inclusion in Nigeria but have also made Fortis one of the fastest growing institutions in the country.

Pauli Isiguzo is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and an Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN). He has over 14years cognate experience that cuts across Financial Management, Financial Reporting, Banking, Auditing, Portfolio Management, Strategy and Planning, Financial & Management Consultancy.
Before joining Fortis MFB Plc, He served in the following top rate Nigerian companies: Access Bank Plc (Intercontinental Bank Plc), Platinum Mortgage Bank, Equity Bank Ltd, Eurolink Consulting, and Investment Portfolio Management Services (IPMS) Ltd.
Some of his career highlights include his appointment as the National Consultant by the World Bank (Country Office Abuja) in 2013 to assist select States in the implementation of IPSAS; Regional Financial Controller, North Central Region in Intercontinental Bank Plc; Head, Internal Audit / Control Dept in Platinum Mortgage Bank.
Besides Consulting for the World Bank, He has also consulted for the following entities: Transmission Company of Nigeria (Training); Lavie Energy Ltd; Aso Savings and Loans PLC (Training); CEA Global Services Ltd; Sharna Integrated Farms Ltd; Enochris Investment Development Ltd.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, DEVELOPMENT FINANCE
Adewale Aderounmu is a 1990 graduate of Mathematics from the Lagos State University and holds an MBA from Delta State University, Abraka–Delta State. He is a CBN/CIBN Certified Microfinance Practitioner. He obtained certification in Investment Banking and Digital Money from Swiss Finance Academy, Switzerland and Digital Frontiers Institute/ The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, Medford, Massachusetts, USA, respectively.
His work experience spanned over 25 years in both private and public sectors, involving Tutoring, Corporate Planning, Corporate Banking, Corporate and Project Finance, Investment Banking, Business Development, Financial Advisory Services and Financial Inclusion.
He started his banking career in 1992 at Nigerian’s premier investment bank, NAL Bank Plc (now part of Sterling Bank Plc). In 2004, he joined Nigerian Export-Import Bank as a Senior Manager, Business Development and Advisory Services and left as AGM-Designate in December 2009. At NEXIM Bank, Mr. Aderounmu consummated various landmark transactions and served on the Bank’s Technical Committee on the Revival of the Textile Industry in Nigeria and was a Faculty Member, NEXIM e-College.
From January 2010 and May 2013, Mr. Aderounmu was at Immanuel Capital Partners Limited, a business and financial advisory firm, as Owner/CEO, prior to joining Fortis Microfinance Bank Plc as a Chief Marketing Officer.
In May 2016, adjudged for his sterling performance and visionary leadership, the Board of Directors appointed Mr. Aderounmu as an Executive Director, Corporate Bank, charged with Development Finance and Investors Relations.
Mr. Aderounmu is a member of both the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and Institute of Strategy Management of Nigeria (ISMN).



COMPANY SECRETARY/HEAD LEGAL
Victor Aderemi Emerson
He is the Company Secretary of Fortis Microfinance Bank. Victor is a graduate of the University of Westminster, UK, (1999), with a Merit in LL.M International Commercial Law and the Lagos State University, Lagos, Nigeria (LL.B). An Associate of the Institute of Financial & Investment Analysts of Nigeria; Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators; He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK and Solicitor, England and Wales. Associate, Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, UK.
His over twenty-five years post bar experience includes working as a Managing Partner, Ince & Merson Solicitors, Abuja; Senior Legislative Aide in the House of Representatives, National Assembly, Abuja and Lecturer –in-law, University of Westminster, London, UK; University of Manchester, UK; Visiting Lecturer in Company/Business Law at the London Metropolitan University. Among his competencies are; Commercial and Contract Law, Corporate Governance, Arbitration and Negotiation.



CHIEF RISK OFFICER
Olufemi Augustine has fourteen years working experience of which a decade is of banking with Standand Trust Bank(now UBA) and Intercontinental Bank Plc(now Access Bank Plc) . His banking experience ranges from Administration, Relationship Management, Credit Analysis, Credit Monitoring and Control, Loan Recovery, Credit Reconciliation and Operational Risk.
Augustine Olufemi is a member of the Chartered Institute of bankers, chartered Institute of Stock brokers and an associate of the chartered economists and International Association of Compliance and Risk Professionals. He obtained his first degree in Business Administration from Yabatech in 1996, then a Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science from FutMinna in 1998, a Bachelor's degree in accounting in 2004 from Ambrose Ali University in Edo state and a MSc in Finance from University of Calabar.
He has attended various trainings which includes: Negotiation skills, Time management and Interpersonal Skills, Anti Money Laundering (AML), Foreign Operations, Basic Credit, Integrated Credit ,Advanced Credit, Asset and Liability Management (ALM) and Operational Risk with more attention on Business Continuity Plan (BCP) .

Joseph Onyeabor has distinguished himself in various fields and roles. He has a strong reputation for developing solutions based strategy and executing same. Joseph Holds an MPA in Public Administration, An Alumnus of Columbia Business School, Frankfurt School of Finance and management, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, a member of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and Advertising Practioners Council of Nigeria. He has 10years cumulative experience with 7years predominantly centered on banking and financial inclusion. His experience in banking spans across Banking Operations, Microfinance Banking, Marketing and Sales, Risk management, Corporate Communications, Brand Management, Mobile Money Operations, Strategy Development and Business Analysis.
Prior to joining Fortis MFB Plc, Joseph had stints with Federal Radio Corporation of Nigerian as a reporter and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation of Nigeria as a Public Relations Assistant. His vast knowledge of Digital Finance aided him in the role as Portfolio Manager- Mobile Microfinance at Fortis Mobile Money Ltd. He is currently the Group Head Microbusiness at Fortis Microfinance Plc where he is responsible for the operations and business activities of Microbusinesses of 44 branches in 14 states across Nigeria, he was strategy Assistant, Operations and Risk management Assistant, Executive assistant to the MD | CEO, Brand Manager and Head Corporate Communications all at Fortis Microfinance Bank Plc.
He is a CIBN-certified Microfinance Practitioner. Joseph has a flair for strengthening institutions, building systems and institutionalizing processes and controls to deliver results.
